About MeHeeeeeeeeeeeey!!!! I am Curtrelle. I'm a 27 year old originally from Washington, D.C., buuut really from everywhere! Here's why! Both of my parents were Army Officers, therefore, we moved and traveled when it called us to do so. I attended a new school almost every two years. Some would say this amount of change is harmful to a child or teenager, but I view every move and every person I've interacted with as a blessing. I believe it challenged me to adapt, it challenged me to know exactly who I am, and it challenged me to be fearless.
In 2014, I graduated from THE Prairie View A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In February of 2015, I passed my licensure exam and immediately went to work as Registered Nurse on the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center, in Houston, Texas, but it was only the beginning. I am a proud woman of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. In 2012, I was initiated into the Zeta Gamma Chapter at Prairie View A&M University. Skee-wee to my sorors worldwide. Continue to reign supreme in service to all mankind! I love playing tennis, reading, hiking, exploring different cultures and spending time with my family and friends (My grandma is one of my BFFs). Sometimes my girls and I hit the scene, sometimes I go a month without checking in with anyone. Ice cream and Netflix make me happy! Crossfit is something I've picked up in 2018 and I. LOVE. IT! Catch me trying to beat my personal deadlift max! Oh, and I'm working on my facial expressions...kinda. I must take time to thank my parents for exposing me to different countries and cultures. Thank you for supporting me even when things don't quite make sense. To my best friends and sisters, the ladies who have helped me grow, heal, and have always genuienly supported or denied my decisions. Breanna, Ebony, Priscilla, Charlie, Sadia, Amanda you are God sent. I wouldn't choose to do life with any other group of dynamic women! I'm in this "Damn Near 30" stage of life, somewhere in between knowing exactly what I want, and not having any handle on life at all and knowing that IT'S OK! |
